Voorheesville man pleads guilty to attempted rape

BALLSTON SPA, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- William C. Maguire, 28, of Voorheesville, has pled guilty to attempted rape in the first degree and attempted criminal sexual act in the first degree. According to the indictment, Maguire forcibly sexually assaulted a 14-year-old victim in their sleep. The act occurred on January 22 in the Town of Providence. The victim received a medical examination at the Albany Medical Center, where critical DNA was secured.Sentencing is scheduled for September 23. The case was prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Meghan A. SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- Four people were arrested in Greenfield following a narcotics investigation, according to police. On June 30, police executed a search warrant at 223 Bockes Road in Greenfield after a lengthy drug trafficking investigation was conducted in Saratoga County. The investigation and search uncovered scales, packaging materials, and quantities of fentanyl, cocaine and suboxone at the residence, all of which were seized by officers. Following the search, the four suspects were taken into custody. SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- A Ballston Spa man is in custody following a road rage incident on I-87 in Saratoga Springs on Friday. Seth A. Labarbera, 23, is facing charges of criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree and menacing in the second degree. The vehicle was located and stopped for a Vehicle and Traffic Law violation. Police identified the driver as Labarbera. Investigations determined that Labarbera brandished a handgun during a road rage incident, causing the victim to be fearful for their safety.Labarbera was arrested and arraigned at the Wilton Town Court. ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- On Monday, Willie Green, 40, pleaded not guilty to a three-count indictment. The indictment alleges that Green intentionally, while acting in concert caused the death of Hacief Oliver on November 10, 2022. Reading to children can expand and improve their vocabulary, and have emotional benefits as well.Parton's Imagination Library program gifts "free, high-quality books to children from birth to age five, no matter a family's income." CHICAGO (WMBD) - Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker joined the state's Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity to announce the highest-ever hotel revenue Monday.According to a news release, the revenues from state hotels in fiscal year 2023 were $307,748,039, surpassing the pre-pandemic record in 2019, which was $296,284,950.That's about 3.8% increase.
